Spectram develops and builds custom industrial solutions for robotic additive manufacturing. It is a subsidiary of the automation integrator Spectrum Technology AB, located in Karlshamn on the south-eastern coast of Sweden.
Spectrum is a provider of specialized solutions for industrial automation and offer everything from concept design, projecting, construction, programming and manufacturing to installation, commissioning and service of machines and entire production lines. Spectrum is also a part owner of the design company Sculptur (sculptur.se) which use robotic 3D printing to print interior design in biobased and recycled materials.
RISE Research Institute of Sweden
RISE is a Swedish state-owned research institute with 2800 employees, collaborating with universities, industry and the public sector to drive international competitive sustainable development and growth. RISE has a unique experience of development of additive manufacturing, which has resulted in several process/material related patents and spin-offs. RISE is currently participating in many national research projects on additive manufacturing where research areas include material and process development, online monitoring and life cycle assessment.
In the last five years, RISE has become a pioneer in robot based additive manufacturing. In Mölndal, outside Gothenburg, RISE has a test facility for large scale additive manufacturing and a robot printer capable of printing up to 2×2,5×6 m in size.
